In ancient Rome, an augur was a religious official who observed the behaviour of birds and interpreted this as an indication of a proposed action. The brief was to create a logo for Augury Hedge Fund using classic typography and include a representation of a majestic bird.

Diotima LTSTD-Roman (Linotype)
Diotima was designed by Gudrun Zapf von Hesse in 1948. Diotima is the name of a Greek priestess in Plato’s dialogue about love and in the philosopher’s imagination she should be slim and beautiful. Gudrun’s husband used it for typesetting their wedding announcement
